Metropolitan Human Resources (MHR) is committed to providing safe and stable transitional housing services to individuals, families, and veterans experiencing homelessness. Our transitional housing program serves as a bridge, providing temporary housing and supportive services for up to two years as clients work towards regaining stability and securing permanent housing.

Our transitional housing program provides the following key components:

  1. Housing: We provide safe, comfortable, and affordable housing units for families and individuals who are experiencing homelessness. Our transitional housing program offers temporary units that are similar to permanent apartments to make clients feel like they have a stable home.
  2. Supportive Services: We offer a range of supportive services to ensure that our clients gain the skills and resources necessary for success as they transition into permanent housing. Services may include assistance with employment and job readiness, counseling, case management, and life skills training, healthcare, and childcare.
  3. Funding: Our organization works hard to secure a mix of federal, state, and local funding to supplement any other sources of funding that we receive. By doing this, we ensure that our clients receive quality, comprehensive care regardless of their financial situation.
  4. Collaborative Partnerships: We collaborate with a range of partners, including local government, non-profit organizations, healthcare providers, and employers to develop a comprehensive and collaborative approach to meeting our clients’ needs.
  5. Evaluation and Improvement: We continuously evaluate the effectiveness of our transitional housing program to ensure that we are providing high-quality services to our clients. We utilize qualitative and quantitative data to assess our program’s effectiveness and refine our approach as necessary.
